[Ninja Rock Star]

I'm a Kiwi living in China (at the moment).. I'll be back in Nippon in a month or so.

Been living in Japan on-and-off since about 1988.

Initially went there to do the martial arts thing (studied Togakure-ryu Ninjutsu) but ended up moving around and getting into music instead.

I'm the song-writer/bass player for a (locally, i.e. Shizuoka) fairly well-known gaijin band... used to be known as "S.O.S." (Style Over Substance, ha! ) but then a J-band with the same name got famous before we did. Not too sure about the new name but I'm song-writing like mad.... prepare for us to take over Nippon 2004!

Moneys not great- average RMB 4,000 a month (US$400?), but Chinese get paid about a quarter of that and everything's dirt cheap. And you can (should) haggle about prices.

I'm here as more of a cultural experience. I'm in a place called Bobai which is between Hong Kong and Vietnam. I'm gonna go down to Vietnam when I get a chance.. should be interesting.
