Celebrities in Commercials

I've heard that really big U.S. celebrities appear in a lot of commercials in Japan. Is that true? They must pay these celebrities pretty well!

Yeah, they get paid loads. In some cases(i.e. Brad Pitt), I think they're paid as much to do ads in Japan as they're paid for a feature role in a major movie at home.
