Question Can someone translate this?

My wife saw these earrings, is interested in them, but wonders what they may mean. I realize they're said to be Chinese, but I have been able to find a site like this one to pose the question. I appreciate any replies, even if they're simply "I have no idea" or reference to a Chinese site.
