Is there a Kanji for the word Hidoi? I've searched everywhere I know and can't find anything. I was just wondering if anyone would know.

Thanks

sorry, my mistake. I normally use JWPce's dictionary.
酷い(P); 非道い 【ひどい】 (adj) (uk) cruel; awful; severe; very bad; serious; terrible; heavy; violent

I wouldn't have suspected, but it is listed in Jdic as well....

I did notice something.

酷い
kun-yomi = hido(i)

非道い
on-yomi = hi + dou (i) but it becomes hido(i) for some reason

Thanks everyone, that helps a lot :-D
Do you know where I could find a bigger version of it though?

Well, how about that. I was wondering why it isn't in there, so I decided to search ひどい. It still isn't exactly listed, but it's there. It seems that it was changed into an -i adjective from 非道(ひどう), so they kept the kanji and altered the reading.
