Firstly, i am new to the forum, so hello everyone..!
Also i'm a Turk but i'm unsure about my religion. I used to be Atheist and believe religion was a TOTAL waste of time because i thought of the so many wars over religion and so many deaths in the name of "God". And actually i guess i am Atheist when it comes to god - i do not believe in an all-powerful God. but i have come to have a more open mind about some religions (I still would never become Muslim or Christian for reasons i won't say right now). One such religion is Buddhism. It seems to me as a religion that whilst being a peaceful, calming, and one that actually seems to follow it'self and not divert or create leaders that interpret the rules as they wish, also is a large world religion. But i am still largely ignorant on Buddhism.
I wonder, does Buddhism have a god? or is it nature focused?
Although i am note religious i think most people need some form of faith which doesn't neccesarily have to be a set religion or the default one in their region - so i'm just trying to find things out!
Could anyone tell me please about what Buddhism actually is?
Thanks in advance, ciao.
