Hello everyone ^_^, I was doing some excercises and I wanted to know if some sentences I have little doubts about were correct, here they are:

- こてんぶんがくが好きと言ったんでしたっけ??
You told me you like classical literature, don't you?? (or something to that effect, I don't know how to specifically translate it to english 'cuz I learned it in spanish =P)

- 彼女はドイツで勉強したんですって? ー はい、そうおもいます。
She studied in germany?? - yes I think so.

- そのこうみでりょうりしないでください!
Please don't cook using that spice!

- どくしょをしても、ならわなかった。
Even though I did a reading, I didn't learned.

- 日本の生活費はたかすぎるでも、日本に住たい。
Even though japan's living expenses are way too high, I want to live there.

Uhm well any problems please tell me ^^ I really want to improve my japanese, thanks in advance!!!

I think all sentences are correct.
Well, you're pretty good in Japanese. Can you speak Japanese?

heheh well not really n12y3, my japanese level is something like Beginner/Intermediate so I can talk just a bit 😌. Thanks for the comment :) , I've been studying a bit more during the last days 'cause I'll go to japan soon hehe ^_^.

Anyone else has something to add or any opinions about the sentences???

My grammar book suggests using keredo to state although but etc (contrary reasoning)

yonda keredo wakarimasen deshita
読んだけれど分かりませんでした。
I read it but I didn't understand it.

You can also say:
どくしょをしたけれど、ならわなかった
Dokusho wo shita keredo narawanakatta。
i did the reading but I couldn't learn。

- こてんぶんがくが好きと言ったんでしたっけ??

* This one's OK.

- 彼女はドイツで勉強したんですって? ー はい、そうおもいます。
She studied in germany?? - yes I think so.
* This is also OK.

- そのこうみでりょうりしないでください!
Please don't cook using that spice!
* "Koumi" is not spice, it points to the aroma and flavor of food or ingredients used in a dish. The word is すぱいす in katakana.

- どくしょをしても、ならわなかった。
Even though I did a reading, I didn't learned.
* "Narau" means to learn in the sense that you take classes or study from a teacher or a teaching source. The correct word here is "oboeru" meaning remember or acquire (as knowledge). どくしょをしても、おぼえなかった。

- 日本の生活費はたかすぎるでも、日本に住たい。
Even though japan's living expenses are way too high, I want to live there.
* Damicci is right here. Use "keredo" or "kedo."
"Living expenses in Japan" should be 日本での.
日本での生活費はたかすぎるけど、日本に住みたい。
(There are other ways to say it, but I've made the last amount of change here.) :)

I thought using to learn sounded a bit weird even in english but for lack of a better word i couldn't suggest anything else.
