These problems may look ridiculous, but I made them for grammar practice.
Could you check my sentences?
a) Mike can speak four languages.
b) Mike is able to speak four languages.
c1) Fred can move that rock.
c2) Fred is able to move that rock.
d1) Can your grandfather speak German?
d2) Is your grandfather able to speak German?
e1) I can't use this machine.
e2) I'm not able to use this machine.
f1) My parents can't speak Japanese.
f2) My parents aren't able to speak Japanese.
g) My uncle can speak three languages.
h) Tom can come here tomorrow morning.
i) My mother is able to speak English and German.
j) Can you see that black building? Yes, I can.
k) My grandfather isn't able to use this computer.
l) Are you able to come here on Friday?
m) Mike is able to make computers.
n) Can Mary hear this sound? Yes, she can.
