I love the design, and it makes me think about the final fantasy games. Let's hope Japan will be able to get the summer games, and that the stadium will be used well.

What do you think about the design? and do you think it's a good thing a foreign company won it, or should it have been a Japanese company?

British architect wins design contest for Japan's new national stadium

Zaha Hadid, best known in the UK for the London 2012 Aquatics Centre, the architectural centrepiece of the summer games, has taken first place in a competition to design the new Tokyo National Stadium...

...The stadium is scheduled for completion in 2018, and will play host to the 2019 Rugby World Cup, as well as forming the centrepiece of the 2020 Summer Olympics should Tokyo's bid prove successful.

Sweet! I think that stadium looks lovely. :D

Considering how the British have experience in building stadia, I think it's a good thing and Japanese jobs will be created as well.
