Ever wondered about your dog's barks and yelps? Bow-lingual can help you to understand. Arf, arf!

Dog translation device -- barking mad

A new device that converts dogs' yelps into words is quickly gaining the attention of canine lovers, but some say its makers could be barking up the wrong tree.

The device, dubbed "Bow-lingual," is set to hit the shelves in February next year. Produced by toy manufacturer Takara Co. Ltd., it will retail for 12,800 yen.

Very strange. I heard something about that just the other day in the news.
More than a year from your post, I can say the same, except that it was on the internet rather than the news.
Anything that you've found out about this unique device?
Has anyone tried this BowLingual?

I am genuinely interested b/c me and my two sons have a good eye-contact communication with our dog already.
It would be interesting to know what my dog had to say.
Actually I could teach her more words, if I could somehow understand what she knows and doesn't know.
The uncertainty is what makes me stop.
btw, she is very smart and understands many human words.
If I don't understand what she's thinking as she barks, she may very well grunt, "Oh, stupid!" :)

What????

You-got-to-be-kidding-me!!!!!

The combined efforts of researchers and developers of the entire industrial community and we produce THIS????

*slaps forehead* I shoulda had a V-8!
