Oh yeah, been reading about it since 1994... finally its coming! Too bad it only opens here in August... is it the same over there in the States? Worldwide premier?

Hope it doesn't end up as some lousy draw where the Predators are hopelessly surrounded so they blow themselves and everyone else to bits....

Been waiting for it for about a dozen years it seems. Is it going to be like the Dark Horse comics version? The comic was based on a film script (which I got my hands on for some reason) and the story was about a human colony on a planet that the Predators visit to "seed" the indigenous lifeforms then return when the aliens have hatched and go on a safari. The humans are of course, caught in the middle. The main characters are a predator by the name of "Broken Tusk" and a human by the name of Mariko (yeah, Japanese chick). I don't think I spoiled anything if that is indeed the plot.

I just hope for the best. It's gotta be better than the last Alien flick, which, despite it's shortcomings, was a helluva lot better than Alien 3.

I've read that book (Prey) and the book that follows it (hunters planet) where Mariko goes back too the Company after running with the predators and hunting with them. They are excellent books!! really really good! I hope that the story is along the lines of those stories. My friend (who i borrowed the books off) also hopes the film is based on those stories.

I really hope its a good film and that they base it on the darkhorse comics and books. If they kinda get a load of the comics and mash them togethor they cant really go wrong i think. Especially if they are on a planet that has different alien indiginous life so that we dont see your 'normal' looking alien drones from the past Alien(s) films. I rememeber one Aliens Vs Predator comic where there was a race of Xenomorphs that were massive and swam in the oceans.. they had big tail's like fins. That sort of thing would be neat. But i think they will stick with the normal looking xenomorphs... ...anyways......

It's all in Earth, in the Antartic, where they find an old civilization freezed in the ice. I think its related to a cientific expedition, a power-hungry bilionaire and predators and aliens trying to cut each other throats.

Wait, just had a thought: AvP on Ice ...arghhhh :auch:
