I was wondering if anyone's chinese here? or possibly asian?
I'm chinese, and i think that it's much easier to learn japanese, because kanji is just basically chinese characters, and that the culpters/traditions are quite similar to each other.
I'm Chinese + Mexican and was born in the US. Sadly I don't know Manderin OR Spanish, which by the way is a disgrace!! T_T But, I'm finally learning spanish so hopefully I'll get fluent soon. (= + I'd like to go 2 Taiwan to learn Manderin
I'm a Singaporean chinese and i share the same thoughts with you candypop... it's definately easier. However, the meanings are not quite the same and it may end up confusing one more... so there's both sides to it.
