Couldn't think of a proper title so i used that. Anyway, i was playing some japanese games from the early 90's for the SNES. There is "some" kanji but very few. But, a lot of kata and rarely any hiragana.
But, now. With some of the previews im watching of CG animations and gameplay. A lot of the language has moved to mostly hiragana and once in a while a kanji. There is some kata used like a,e,i,o,u. One of those. But, i could almost translate most of the game play previews shown.
So, my question is. Is it how the Japanese language is that decides whether or not to use hiragana or am i making a useless thread because i don't understand the intricacies of Japanese language?
