A silly observation

Its funny, how there could be roughly 7 people in the same forum, and absolutely no new posts pop up.

It reminds me of being in a room with 7 people, and just staring at each other, waiting for the other person to bring something up.

Not that complaining about it is doing anything for it. But well, I'm not really complaining.

There are many reasons why that is the case:

1. One of the seven is preparing a topic
2. One is replying to a topic
3. One is browsing through the forums.
4. One is on another discussion forum
5. One is staying online
6. One is watching TV while online
7. One is doing one/all of the above, and/or something else!

and one, like me, has no knowledge of anything of what's going on anyway

I THINK IT'S BECAUSE......

the PC's monitor is to much like a TV screen. The mouse is like the TV's remote. We just stare at the screen waiting for something to come on and entertain us. After a while of staring dumbly at the screen, we click to another spot and stare some more. Only when we see something that hits a personal chord do we think to hit the keyboard and post a reply. Our over-loaded and jaded brains just don't respond to too many things now days.

Well, sometimes I'm here but I forget that I'm here. I'll have this open and be logged in, and then I'll minimize it when I have to go do something. I'll come back later and realize I've been logged in for a couple of hours straight...
