This poem is from Omar Khayyam, a very famous Persian poet.
Hope you enjoy it!

"While the Rose blows along the River Brink,
With old Khayyam the Ruby Vintage drink:
And when the Angel with his darker Draught
Draws up to Thee-take that, and do not shrink".

And if the Wine you drink, the Lip you press,
End in the Nothing all Things end in-Yes-
Then fancy while Thou art, Thou art but what
Thou Shalt be-Nothing-Thou shalt not be less".

"For in and out, above, about, below,
Tis nothing but a Magic Shadow-show,
Play'd in a box whose Candle is the sun,
Round which we Phantom Figures come and go".

"But leave the Wise to wrangle, and with me
The Quarrel of the Universe let be:
And, in some corner of the Hubbub coucht,
Make Game of that which makes as much of Thee".

That's lovely ^__^ I have a poem I have written! ^__^

It's fairly long I know, and quite abstract. I wrote it when i was feeling creative during my insomnia filled nights. Anyway! Here it is

:)

Chaoschild

Bathed in light
A newborn glow
A soul is reborn
Out of the chaos

Aura of blue
Spreads its wings
Chaoschild flies
Flies to find hope

Humanity has crumbled
Souls are not pure
Chaoschild will wither
Will die alone

Fearing death
Chaoschild weeps
Tears of despair
Never to stop

Tears create rivers
That run pure and free
Chaoschild is still alone
Alone in the world

Blood is shed
Chaoschild will punish
Punish those impure
Chaoschild has fallen

Angels have little hope
Chaoschild will fail
The last of the pure
Has now become tainted

Hidden far away
Souls of the good
Refusing to crumble
Wait for their hope

Hearing Chaoschild cry
Faith lends her hand
Guiding Chaoschild
To seek out the pure

Soaring through the air
Chaoschild has hope
Humanity may not diminish
The strongest have survived

The good still wait
For their hope to come
Knowing not of Chaoschild
Some fall into shadow

The good are falling
Chaoschild is too far away
Waiting too long for hope
Killed them

Chaoschild has found them
Hidden away
Chaoschild is too late
Only one is barely alive

Tears run down his face
Tears create rivers
That run pure and free
Misery attacks Chaoschild

Tears fall on the dead
The last dying good stirs
Chaoschild looks at her face
His first and only love

Desparate to save her
Chaoschild did what he knew
The only thing he knew
He gave her part of his soul

She spread her wings
They embraced
Chaoschild was happy
Chaoschild cried

Tears create rivers
That run pure and free
Chaoschild can look at the world and smile
Chaoschild will never fall like humanity did

For Chaoschild has Lilen

There you go! 😌

A poem!

Luz- Chan,

Thanks for your reply,

No, I haven't thought of writing a poem! Perhaps I should. Most of the time, I like to read poems and try to understand the morals behind them.

Regards,

Aryobarzan😄

Wow...*gawks* That's deep. Some of my poetry are on Fanfiction.net under Luz. However, my three best poems are at Meiko Anime : Forever Young, My Friends, and Our Beginning.

Hi dark for tear!

Thanks for your post.

I like the part of your poem which talks about humanity and the soul. I think that's very true.

Thank you Luz-chan and Aryobarzan! ^__^ Yeah it is quite deep, but that's most of the stuff people i know, myeslf included think about if you have insomnia. I am quite proud of it because of it's deep and meaningfulness, I tried to use alot of imagery in this poem.

I wrote a poem last week on vacation one night.

Luna (Spanish for "moon")

Oh, Luna!
How you gaze down upon the earth.

Your pure light sparkles on the sea, making it glow a radiant glow.
The waves, blowing gently by the wind, reflects your beauty.

You're romantic; without you, there will be no moonlight walks.
You, Luna, are as beautiful and pure as Rai, the sun.

Gaze down upon the earth.
Your beauty and purity is admired by all.

Please tell me your opinions.

Arigato! Here's another poem I wrote today during summer school. It's about my first boyfriend. You might cry after reading this.

There He Goes
He's gone away, like the wind.
When he was leaving, I ran after him, thinking,
"Should I let him go?"

He was on my mind, day in and day out.
Everywhere I go, there he was.
In the river, the clouds, the moon---everywhere he was.

At first, everything was all right.
We went to the movies, the mall, the Homecoming Dance.
He even gave me my first kiss.

However, as time went on, we began to grow apart.
The hugs and kisses cease,
as well as the phone calls and emails.

Finally, the fateful day arrived:
On Valentine's Day, he broke up with me
via a "Happy Valentine's Day" card.

"I'm sorry, but I'm breaking up with you," the card said.
"We need to see other people.
It's not your fault, so don't blame yourself, and don't cry."

Don't cry! How dare he say that to me!
As I thought this, tears stream out.
My world, and my heart, broke apart, shattering into pieces.

I fell into a troubled dream. In it, he's walking away from me.
I start to run after him, begging him to take me into his arms.
Howeer, the closer I got to him, the farther away he was.

I ponder the question in my head.
When I heard the answer, I stopped, feeling somewhat relieved:
"No. There's no point in that. You must move on."

I woke up, realizing that I couldn't run after him forever.
Maybe what he wanted out of this was friendship.
So I did what he wanted "us" to do: We moved on.

Afterwards, we remained close friends.
I pointed out that I wasn't ready for commitment, either.
I figured that I still have time to finish my education;
I'll save commitment for marriage after college and settling.

This poem is written as a token of gratitude.
Thank you so much,
for making me stronger and independent.

I might post this on Fanfiction.net and Fictionpress.com tomorrow. Your opinions are welcome.

Well that is indeed sad, but its a good narrative poem. I likes it :)

Arigato! I have yet another poem. This one is dedicated to my crush(even though he has a girlfriend, I like him):

Chocolate Eyes

I watched you up-close, as well as afar.
Your eyes, a deep chocolate, reminds me of a Hershey's bar.

When you smile, a glow shimmers across your face.
You're a rebel with a cause; you're never out of place.

When you look at me, I can't help but shiver.
I tried to talk to yo, but I'm too sky, so I quiver.

You do extreme sports, like skateboarding, but you also sing songs.
I hope, Chocolate Eyes, that one day, together
we will belong.

I'm not very good at rhyme(usually, I do free verse), but please tell me your opinion!

This is a peom called memory. A friend of the family died a couple of weeks ago and I wrote this poem about it.

A soft quiet voice,
I always had to lean in to listen.
Always faithful and kind
You went through a lot.
Ask how I was doing
And fine I'd say.
A friend you were,
To mother and us.
Steady as a rock you seemed to be,
But now that you're gone I'm not so sure.
We should have visited,
But someday we'll see you again.
For now, a memory
Takes your place.

Oh yeah I love the other peoms posted here. ^^ 😄
