Hi there, again :)

I have a question: what is the difference between 思い and 気持ち?
I mean, I know both of them mean '"feelings", but are they interchangeable?I heard that they carry a slightly different kinds of feeling/emotion, is it true?

Help would be appreciated :)
Thank you

Would you have heard that here?

The terms are interchangeable to the point that 'feeling' and 'emotion' are interchangeable in English. From the impression I get through my own experience, 気持ち refers to a feeling you get from an outside stimulus, be it physical or emotional.

気持ち悪い~! - That's gross/weird/disgusting/etc.!
気持ちいい - That feels good (bath, breeze, other...stimuli)

With 想い, however (note that this uses different kanji than verb-stem form of 思う), the feeling is more innate, something produced independently of external stimuli.

いつでもこの想いを守りたいの [Song lyric, 懐かしい宇宙(うみ)]
I want to protect this feeling whenever/always.

Unless you're going to be openly talking about your emotions or feelings, you're probably going to use 気持ち the vast majority of the time.

Omoi (思い) is used more for opinions/thought perceptions and
"kimochi" for desires, emotions or bodily sensations. I don't see that there's much overlap between them at all so it's a little difficult to answer precisely.
