そのショッピングモールにはたくさんの大きなお店があります。
Ref: FREE Japanese Word of the Day Widget - JapanesePod101
The translation is “There are a large variety of stores at the mall.”
I was expecting “There are many big stores at the shopping mall.”
I don’t know where the variety comes in.
Also what is the difference in usage between 大きい and 大きな?
By the same token, the difference between 小さい and 小さな?
Would all other adjectives that have both I-form and na-form behave the same way?

You asked the same question before, and I already answered it.

I apologize Toritoribe-san.

Roughly speaking, 大きな/小さな can be used as an attributive (= when modifying a noun) in almost all cases.
Are you suggesting where they're predicate they might have the tendency of 大きな for abstractness, and 大きい physicality? Then you said it's not so strictly distinguished. So I suppose you also meant they're really quite interchangeable in all senses.

Except some set phrases, as I mentioned in the thread, yes.
