I came across a few common terms that are puzzling me.
1. 普段なら大企業内の研究所や、専門の実験性説などでしかお目に かかれない機材を、この会場で見学できるのである。
2. A guy suddenly recites a whole textbook of knowledge.
「うわ、引くわ!...」(his friend)
「なで関心するどどころか引くんだよ!」 (the guy)
3. その建物は、実物を初めて見る男子生徒達にも一目瞭然であるくらいに有名だ。
1. Does 普段なら here means "usually"?. What's throwing me off here is that the なら here might be a conditional, but doesn't translate to "if" in english, as with all the usual sentences I've seen, such as お前なら、できるよ。Unless it means "If at normal times,......"
2. Does 引く reference to 生き字引? Is this what the text is saying?
" うわ、he pulled it out!..."
"How is me admiring the same as pulling information out"
3. であるくらいに here has me stumped, unless I'm understanding it's usage wrong. 一目瞭然であるくらいに有名 means "as obvious as it is famous" right? How exactly do you compare those two??? Shouldn't it be 一目瞭然である有名?
Many thanks in advance!
