I don't quite understand the meaning of the above which is supposed to be the slang version of まったく、いつまでこんなところで、ぐずぐずするんだよ。.

Could someone care to explain?

I try to work out how the slang comes above too.

Yes, your interpretation is correct. The speaker is basically complaining to the one he is talking to about their lack of decision-making, ability to take action, fighting strength, etc.

I actually can't follow even the full version of the sentence.
How まったく、いつまでこんなところで、ぐずぐずするんだよ comes to mean what you said?
まったく completely
いつまで until when
こんなところ this type of place
ぐずぐず slowly

まったく is an interjection denoting strong anger, frustration or disappointment there.
いつまで is "How long do you/we (have to) ~?" as a rhetorical question in that sentence.
ぐずぐずする means "to take time/linger over".
The nuance of こんなところ is more likely "such a place like this", i.e., "a place where you/we usually don't take time".

In conclusion, the speaker is expressing that he got frustrated with taking too much time in such a place (, which most likely comes from their lack of decision-making, ability to take action, fighting strength, etc., as I wrote in my initial reply).

There was no way I being a beginner to interpret the way you understand.
