The translation of the above is “The company president is only 36 years old.”

Grammatically, how does “まだたったの“ come about? What is の doing there?

たったの can be used when modifying a noun.
e.g.
たった(の)1時間
only an hour

たった(の)2千円
only two thousand yen

たった(の)3人
only three people
