Hello, just a quick question that I couldn't find an answer for. When looking at conjugation lists for する verbs, I don't see any plain form for the present progressive. Is it normal to use formal form for these? If not, I'm assuming the plain form would be している (such as 勉強している). Thanks!

Isn't there the -te fom of する in your list?

That would be how I got the して, yes. And as far as I can tell, plain progressive present is て-form plus いる. Question was, since that form is left out for the する verbs, but not other verbs, if its uncommon to use plain form for them and more common to use polite form when in a context where plain form would be used.

I don't know why your list doesn't have している, but it's quite commonly used as same as other verbs.
