かぶる

I'm a bit confused by かぶる in this context:
カレーは何カレーがいい？ビーフ？チキン？あ、ビーフは夜とかぶるか。
There's no information whether the speaker talks about lunch or dinner, so i can't figure if it's "to be similar/to overlap" かぶる.
I thought it may mean something like "to be too much". Does かぶる　have such meaning?

No. It's "to be similar/to overlap". Even if there is no information about lunch or dinner previously, the sentence itself denotes that the speaker is talking about curry in lunch and beef in dinner. (The interpretation "curry in breakfast" is also possible, but it's a far less common situation.)
