Well, I can't fully agree with the site and pdf file you provided. どういたしまして is really used with no problem in daily life (in appropriate situations, of course). Also, all other expressions, such like いえいえ, こちらこそ, とんでもありません(more polite than とんでもないです, which you'd better not to use in very formal situations such like business scenes) or even ありがとうございます, can be used sarcastically. It totally depends on the context, e.g., the tone you say it.here (among others): Saying "You're welcome" in Japanese - not recommended - Living Language Expert Forums
...and I saw other people mentioning it was often used in a sarcastic way or from an other era.
(I hear it often in anime though even if it's not the best reference)
