Tenzan Brewery is a renowned brewery located in Ogi, Saga Prefecture. The Gion River, which flows in front of the brewery, is said to be the birthplace of Genji fireflies and is one of the best places in Japan to view fireflies. The brewery was founded in 1875 when Shichida Toshizo and his wife Tsuki, both previously engaged in milling and producing noodles, were asked to take over the brewery after it had gone out of business. In 1959, the third-generation Kuramoto Shichida Hideichi decided to focus solely on the sake brewing business and reorganised the brewery as Tenzan Shuzō. Nowadays, Tenzan is run by the sixth-generation tōji Shichida Kensuke (七田謙介) and produces sake, shōchū, and liqueur.

The historic brewery buildings from the Meiji, Taisho, and Showa eras have been designated national tangible registered cultural properties and are recognised as a Saga Prefecture Heritage Site. The leading brand is "Tenzan", derived from Mount Tenzan, the mountain peak to the brewery's north. "Iwanokura" is the regional brand exclusive to Kyūshū, and "Shichida" is the exclusive brand to retailers and sake shops.

Shichida's Aiyama Hiyaoroshi has a delightful fruity aroma reminiscent of grapes, apples, lychees, melon, and marzipan. It is a smooth and gentle drink that balances a light sweetness with a hint of nuttiness. The finish is earthy and slightly bitter, leaving a pleasant sensation on your tongue.
