Morito Sakura no Shizuku (森戸酒造 桜の雫) is classified as seishu (清酒). Seishu is regular sake is also known as futsūshu (普通酒). It is dry with a mild and crisp taste. Sakura no Shizuku is brewed with special sake yeast, which professor emeritus Nakata Kubo (中田久保) of the Tōkyō University of Agriculture's Sake Brewing Laboratory has succeeded in isolating from the natural sakura flower in a method called sakura kōbojikomi (さくら酵母仕込み).

Sakura no Shizuku is good cold or warmed up, and its mild and crisp dry taste makes it a versatile sake suitable for Japanese and Western and Chinese cuisine.

This seishu is made with special yeast extracted from sakura flowers. It has a nose of dried fruits and resins, and a marked dry and crisp character. Its strong alcoholic overtones end in a pleasantly spicy finish.
