Kamikoro Shuzō in Asakuchi, Okayama Prefecture, was founded in 1913 by Fujii Chōjūrō (藤井長十郎). Kamikoro Sake Brewery has been committed to producing high-quality sake since its inception. While the industry trended towards sweeter sake, Kamikoro remained dedicated to preserving the authentic rice flavour. The brewery operates two facilities: Hihokaku (秘宝閣), a multifunctional warehouse, and Nagisa no Kura (渚の蔵), primarily for sake material processing. Kamikoro's innovative temperature control system, introduced in 1970, was essential for maintaining quality in the warm climate of the Seto Inland Sea. Kamikoro benefits from the region's natural beauty and rich agricultural resources. Asakuchi is known for its fishing industry, agriculture, and traditional crafts.

Kamikokoro's Junmai Daiginjō Muroka Namagenshu offers a delightful fruity aroma reminiscent of melon, strawberry, and white peach. The palate is rich and sweet, with pronounced notes of ripe melon and a touch of effervescence. The mouthfeel is pleasantly prickly, balanced by a moderate yet refreshing acidity and a satisfying dry finish.
