Kameizumi Sake Brewery is located in Izuma, Kochi Prefecture. It was founded in 1897 by eleven volunteers under the name "Humoto Saketen". Their sake was made with water from a spring named the "Eternal Spring" as its waters had never run dry in over three hundred years. They named their first sake "Kameizumi" (亀泉, "Turtle Spring"), alluding to the longevity of the water. In 1917, Kawazawa Tomigo became the first president of Fumoto Saketen. Kameizumi Sake Brewery Co., Ltd. was set up in 1965 and is currently run by Kawazawa Toru. It has six employees.

This namazake seems to have more in common with a chardonnay than sake. Fruity nose with hints of pineapple and apricots, as claimed by its creators, in addition to pear, apple and melon. A fruity explosion. An equally juicy palate, full-bodied, sophisticated and round. From the moment you open the bottle, the first contact with your taste buds, it feels alive—fun to enjoy.
