Fukura Brewery designed THE FUKURA Junmai Daiginjō (福羅酒造 THE FUKURA 福羅 純米大吟醸) as a premium sake in the low price range of 1000 JPY by keeping the raw material costs down without compromising on their passion for sake brewing or the manufacturing process. Utilising local water, the spring water of Uno's Jizodaki (地蔵ダキ) in Matsuzaki and a spring in the Kataji area of town whose water quality is comparable to or even better than the best spring water in the prefecture. Using such famed spring water, Fukura Brewery's unique junmai daiginjō is crafted with an exquisite balance of gentle aroma and deep flavour.

Fukura Sake Brewery is located in Matsuzaki, Tottori Prefecture. Founded by Tame Jirō (為次郎), it moved to the present location in the Taishō era. To improve the quality and produce high-quality sake, the brewing process was handed over from local tōji (master brewers) to Izumo tōji. The character fuku (福) means "fortune"; until the early Shōwa period, the brewery also used two other brands, 'Fukuizumi' (福泉) and 'Fukubotan' (福牡丹). The principal brand 'San'in Tōgō' (山陰東郷) demonstrates its unique characteristics as a warmed sake to pair with food, while the 'Hoshitori' (星取) series, launched in August 2021, is designed for those who are not yet familiar with sake.
