The Fujinishiki Izujiman Junmai (富士錦 伊豆自慢) is a so-called "PB sake", with PB standing for "private brand". Fujinishiki Brewery produces a number of private-label sakes for inns, tourist associations and liquor stores in Izu and Hakone. Fujinishiki's "Izu Jiman" (Izu Pride) should not be confused with Isojiman Brewery located in Yaizu, Shizuoka.

We found this junmai at a Michi-no-eki (道の駅) store in Izu. It has a nose of cereal and the sweet scent of caramel. Very well-balanced on the palate, mild, with a pleasingly sweet mouthfeel. Moderately spicy finish. A worthy table sake, a bit on the costly side, but that might have been related to the gift box it came with.
