Eisen Brewery, located in Bandai, Fukushima, was established in 1869 as Miyamori Eishirō Sake Brewery (宮森榮四郎酒造店) as a branch of Miyamori Bunjirō Sake Brewery (宮森文次郎酒造店) in Aizuwakamatsu. During World War II, the brewery was merged with other breweries and regained its independence in 1953 under the third-generation toji Miyamori Eishirō (宮森榮四郎). In 1988, a new brewing facility was established at the western foot of Mount Bandai with access to water from the Ryugasawa Spring (龍ヶ沢湧水), designated one of Japan's 100 best water sources by the Environmental Agency. The brewery became a subsidiary of Yoshimura Food Holdings Co., Ltd. (株式会社ヨシムラ・フード・ホールディングス) in 2016.

This is a super dry sake with just enough ginjo aroma and a pronounced rice flavour. Notes of green apple. It has a sharp, refreshing taste with a subtle umami. Solid and bitter aftertaste. It is recommended as an aperitif or with savoury food.
