About Kudan Institute:


Kudan Japanese Language Institute is a Japanese language school where many students from all over the world are enrolled. In addition to learning Japanese, Kudan Institute would like to increase and reach out to more people in the world by providing the opportunity to learn about Japanese culture and the country's history through activities that can only be experienced in Japan. Further, we aim to furnish a place to deepen international exchange for students coming from all over the world.

Japanese Conversation Course

This course is for students who particularly aim to learn and mainly develop their conversation skills. Japanese conversation practices are executed while assuming certain situations as well as utilizing a variety of topics. In this course, you will learn a lot of scenes that are immediately useful for Japanese life. From the intermediate level (Conversation III) and above, there are many expressions that are indeed useful for those who are already working as well as for those who are thinking to look for employment in Japan. Average of 12 to 20 students per class. The minimum enrollment period is two weeks.2-12 weeks (short-term), 12 months (long-term)Monday-Friday, 09:10-12:40; 20 lessons/week. Starting in January, April, July, October, every Monday (excluding complete beginners).

Japanese Intensive Courses

In this course, one will learn the four Japanese language skills (listening, reading, writing, speaking) in a well-balanced comprehensive manner, and be able to systematically learn. This course is also for those who want to take the Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) and the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU). This course is recommended for those who wish to continue to graduate school, university, or vocational school, as well as those who wish to study Kanji. In addition, even for JLPT N1 passers, a Higher Advanced class could be opened based on the number of students and the duration of the study, so please do not hesitate to inquire about it. Includes "Kanji lesson" (13:30-15:00 Tuesday & Thursday, twice a /week), 12 to 20 students per class an average. The minimum enrollment period is two weeks. 2-10 weeks (short-term), 12 months (long-term)Monday-Friday 13:30-17:00, 20 lessons/week, students with a Student Visa can attend this course. This course starts every Monday (excluding complete beginners). Starting in January, April, July, October. The students must have basic knowledge of the Japanese language to join this course. Beginners need to take a hiragana/katakana course first in preparation for this course.

Hiragana Katakana Course

This course is for students who will be studying Japanese for the first time. There will be Hiragana and Katakana reading and writing practices, as well as the ability to be able to talk about one's country and daily living in a simple manner. The aim of this course is to learn basic vocabulary and expressions for daily conversation. After the course is completed, the student can transfer to the Japanese intensive course.4 weeksMonday-Friday 9:10-12:40, 20 lessons/week.

Holiday Courses (Spring, Summer, Winter)

The purpose of these courses is to provide students with many chances to practice daily conversation for their speaking and listening skills to be brushed up. In the lessons, students will learn situational conversation that they may come across during your stay in Japan. This is the ideal course for anyone who would like to learn Japanese in a relatively short period of time. For the summer and winter courses, students must be over 15 years old. The winter course also requires students to know all hiragana.2 weeks (spring); 3, 4 and 7 weeks (summer); 2, 3, and 4 weeks (winter)Starting in January, March, July, and August.

Manga Courses

This is a completely original and special course made for those interested in Japanese manga, but is only for students of Kudan Institute of Japanese Language and Culture. For Japanese Manga lovers, this dream course combines language and art study through Kudan’s collaboration with Mangajuku, a professional Manga School. In this course, a professional manga artist together with a bilingual coordinator will assist students according to their level - whether they are someone who likes reading manga but is a complete beginner in drawing, or an expert at drawing but would like to broaden their expertise. While studying Japanese language, students learn how to draw manga characters and create an original character of your own. At the end of this course, along with the Certificate of Completion, students will also receive their works and a manga sketching textbook.1, 2, or 3 monthsStarting in January, March, July, and October.

Tea Ceremony Courses

In this course, students can learn the Japanese language and Japanese tea ceremony (Bonryakutemae) at the same time. They will also learn about Tea Ceremony culture, how to prepare tea, and how to serve it. Students will receive a certificate of completion after finishing the 4-week course.1 month (8 lessons)Starting in February.

Japanese Cooking Course

This course allows students to study Japanese while learning to cook Japanese cuisine - such as delicate ornamental sushi, food made from soup stock, and unique lunch boxes. They will also learn the tradition and culture of Japanese food, as well as Japanese table manners in this course.1 month; Wednesdays and Fridays (14:30-16:30)Starting in January, March, July, and October.

Job Hunting Support Course

A course for those looking to start or change their careers. In this course, students learn the basics of Japanese business communication (for the interview and job proper). Also, we will provide them with the necessary information to support all their needs. In Japan, proper business etiquette is vital in entering any company or making business partnerships. Our speakers include a group of professionals who have assisted more than 1,000 foreign applicants for universities and various corporations, as well as experienced trainers for business communication. We will assist you to ensure that your transition to the Japanese way of business goes smooth sailing.1 month (8 sessions)Starting in January.

JLPT N2 Prep Evening Course

Accomodation:


Accommodation can be arranged by the Kudan Institute for all students enrolling in Japanese language courses. Homestay is available from 4 weeks (28 nights) for 94,000 JPY to 10 weeks (70 nights) for 220,000 JPY. Guesthouse lodging can be arranged on a monthly basis for 65,000 JPY per month (placement fee +deposit 25,000 JPY).
