A statue of Bindora Baradaja (賓度羅跋囉惰闍) or Binzuru (賓頭盧), an arhat (one of Buddha's 16 disciples) usually depicted seated in the lotus position. According to legend, rubbing a part of the effigy corresponding to a sick part of the human body will heal it of the disease.
