Kōmyō-ji Temple
Kōmyō-ji Temple (天照山蓮華院光明寺 Tenshōzan Renge-in Kōmyō-ji) is a Buddhist temple of the Jōdo sect in Zaimokuza, Kamakura, and the only major one in the city to be close to the sea. It is the first among the Kantō Jūhachi Danrin, a group of 18 Jōdo temples established by Tokugawa Ieyasu.
