Wednesday religion class.

Well, today was my first day of a Catholic "who is Mary and what is she about and her relationship to God and Jesus" class. I didn't sign myself up for it, my dear ole' Mom did the deed. It's only on Wednesdays for 1 1/2 hours. I already feel like a heretic in class. There are just so many things I could argue, but I didn't. I don't know, it just doesn't seem worth it. At least the guy who teaches the class is pretty liberal. I just don't think arguing that the trinity doesn't make sense, isn't going to get me anywhere. The people who are there aren't there to really exchange ideas and reshape the church. The study book is a bunch of verses taken form all over the Bible and used to prove the point that the author intended to make right from the start. I can do the same to prove a different opinion. Ahh, but as I was told the pope and the saints etc. were divinely inspired so we have to believe them. Prove divine inspiration. Oh, well, I learned nothing of great relevance. It makes my Mom happy. I can sacrifice a couple of hours. We'll see what happens in the coming weeks. ☝
