Hello, if anyone still remembers me.
I'm done with school now and I've started a new job in southeast USA. I've been real busy with work, but I'm starting to think again about home life.
For the past three months, 12-14+ hour days at the office have been the norm, but I'm trying to cut back now and enjoy life a little again. I'm trying to figure out what that means for me now, actually. I love the people around where I live, but the culture is so different than I'm used to. If I were religious, it would be very easy to meet people and make friends here. Since I'm not, that low-hanging fruit is beyond my reach.
But that's ok. I remember when I first moved to Kariya years ago, I was very lonely and knew nobody. It was hard to meet people at first. But over time, I met a lot of great people and made some great friends. It just takes time.
Today is the first time I've had enough time to reflect on life in quite a while. Overall, I'm quite happy. All I need now is someone to enjoy time away from work with.
