Hello
I got a mute video of this man.
And I really really want to know if he was speaking Japanese in the video and what was he talking about. Anyone would help identify ?
I'm sure I had met a scammer who stole this man's photos and videos.
I am going to find this man and remind him his photos and videos are being used by a scammer who would do the same to more women.
please help me find this man in the video please please please

I don't think there's anything he could do even if you did find him, and chances are he wouldn't want to be found if this is a personal video as you suggest. Much more likely to help would simply be to send the suspected scammer's info to the authorities.

It looks to me like English, by the way, though I didn't really try to read his lips and I doubt I'd be good at it anyway.

I extracted several still images from the video and attempted a reverse image search, but did not find anything.

From the man's appearance and his mouth movements, combined with the background scenery, it is plausible that the man appearing in the video is a Japanese man who was born and raised in Japan.

It seems strange that someone would send you a muted video of themself for any reason. If your instinct is that you are being scammed, then you may be correct.

Just out of curiosity, if the man in the video is, in fact, Japanese, does that make it more likely or less likely to you that you are being scammed?

Thanks Julie. I would have sent the scammer's info to authorities if I had. And I will delete the video.

Thanks for your effort joadbres. The language is the key point to make it clear of the whole scam. I was not alert to the scammer until I saw this video. So now it's already very clear and the scammer knew I was alert and I just lost contact with him now. So there's nothing else I could do to stop him doing the same to more people.

oh

I just had an idea. If I could find this man, at least I would tell him that he can put up a profile of his picture and then when other victoms try to do image reverse searching then they would know something wrong.

I would just turn over whatever small amount of info you do have, like the email address or phone number they used to contact you. Whether the police would be able to follow up on that lead or not, hard to say, but it's about the best you can do and it's better than nothing.

You probably don't need to do that.
In the future, if someone attempts to do a reverse image search of the first frame of this video, they will soon find this page on jref, and then they will be alert that something is wrong.

If you are concerned, though, that someone will not find this video, then maybe there are some useful steps you can take.

From what you have written so far, I am still not exactly clear what is going on. How did you find the video?
