I want to thank you for helping me with my scooter problems and taking me to Mine train station, I am most grateful to your company.

私はスクーターの問題を手伝ってくれてありがとう、私を駅に連れて行ってくれてありがとう、私はあなたの会社に最も感謝しています。

If possible , can you check the spark plug, I think it is very old, if necessary, please replace it .

可能であれば、スパークプラグを点検することができますか、それは非常に古いと思います、必要なら交換してください。

I used google translate so it probably be mostly wrong or maybe somewhat correct.
Thanks guys.

Indeed, there are mistakes or odd expressions, but it conveys what you want to say correctly. They'll no doubt understand your intention.

Thanks, I mailed them a letter today. You know, Japanese people can really be kind and very helpful. This is the 2nd time in 2 years that the Japanese "really" helped me in time of need.

While the letter would be appreciated, it would have been better to send a small gift.

I sent the letter of appreciation due to the fact that they were still working on my scooter. Yesterday I picked up my scooter and offered them money instead of a gift. They at first refused my token of kindness, but I didn't give up. I ended up getting a fair price for the repair of the scooter and a bag of backyard freshly picked pears.
The insurance picked up the road service cost so I didn't have to pay them for that. All in all, everyone was very happy.

You should do things the right way, which means give them a small gift, not money.

In most cases the person you give a gift too will give you a gift in return, even if that is only fruit and veg, but that is how it works here.

Judging from what musicisgood-san wrote, it would be a company related to bike/car (dealer or repair shop, maybe), so I don't think his action is inappropriate. If I were him, I would do the same thing.

Thanks. Money is this case was really warranted. I did give the gas station where they helped me a case of Fanta drink. I did offer money at first but they refused, so a week later I brought over the Fanta. Been a customer of them for 3 years now. It's out in the country and we actually know each other by first names. Living kind of out where the countryside is just minutes away is probably very different from city life where you'd probably to go some distance to see the rice fields.
