So, i am applying for a year abroad high school exchange in japan for a year in 2019. I am required to write a letter in English, optional Japanese. I have decided to write one in Japanese thus my following questions;

How do I end a letter in Japanese?
In terms of actual content, is there things that i should say/ask?
Handwritten or Typed?
With the English letter should i just write same or add more?
and in general please correct mistakes, thank you.

How do I end a letter in Japanese?
You can end your letter with よろしくお願いします, but there is no problem with yours.

In terms of actual content, is there things that i should say/ask?
It totally depends on the situation. Isn't there any requirement?

Handwritten or Typed?
Either one you like.

With the English letter should i just write same or add more?
The same as the second answer.

and in general please correct mistakes
It's understandable except few sentences, but there are so many typos, for instance へんきょう, りようり, 一はん, かずく, ググル, すがく or もくよう. Check it again more carefully.

Also, there are grammatical mistakes with かきしたり, したり、のが好きです, ゲームのとプログラミングをする好きです, スヌーピーをあつめやテニスする好きです.

What do you mean by こうかんの時高校そつぎょうします。 and 父好きなかもくでよくはたらくがいいと思います。?

What is ヒロキティー?

私のもくようはよいおもいでをつくりたいです。 is ungrammatical. Aim/purpose can't want anything. You want it, or your aim/purpose is a noun/noun clause.

It totally depends on the situation. Isn't there any requirement?
For content I was actually looking for an opinion, do you think there are things I should say, there really are no requirements given. Same with second question and third.

What is ヒロキティー?
Typo again, Hello Kitty.

こうかんの時高校そつぎょうします。Tried to say; the time that i am in exchange ill have graduated.
こうかんの時高校そつぎょうしますた。Is this better? or makes no sense?

父好きなかもくでよくはたらくがいいと思います。I think typo again.
父は好きなかもくでよくはたらくがいいと思います。Tried to say; My father says.....

私のもくようはよいおもいでをつくりたいです。
私はもくようのよいおもいでをつくりたいです。better?

Some typos are not corrected yet, and you completely ignored my advice about the grammatical mistakes. Try again.

Accidentally posted, was editing post I think I have addressed all your points, thanks again.
edit: also fixed a typo I missed.

Read again my previous post. You didn't correct your grammatical mistakes at all, and there still are many typos.

こうかんの時高校そつぎょうします。Tried to say; the time that i am in exchange ill have graduated.
こうかんの時高校そつぎょうしますた。Is this better? or makes no sense?
It's still wrong. The past from しますた doesn't exist, but the point is not there. The temporal order of the events should be "you graduate school" --> "you are in exchange", so you should compose the sentence like that (hint: the Japanese tense system is different from the English one).
Also, you should use こうかんりゅうがく or りゅうがく instead of こうかん.

父好きなかもくでよくはたらくがいいと思います。I think typo again.
父は好きなかもくでよくはたらくがいいと思います。Tried to say; My father says.....
思います doesn't mean "says".
はたらく is a verb, so it can't be the subject. You need to nominalize it.

私のもくようはよいおもいでをつくりたいです。
私はもくようのよいおもいでをつくりたいです。better?
Still wrong. Read my hint in my initial post again.

This newest version actually contains a new mistake. そつぎょう was correct - no need to change it to そつぎよう (no such word exists).

もくよう (Thursday) should be replaced by もくひょう (goal). Speaking of this "My goal is ..." sentence, it's still grammatically incorrect and actually has some redundancy. In English, too, you can say either "My goal is to make good memories" or "I want to make good memories", but not a combination of the two ("My goal is to want to make good memories") - that sounds weird. I'd recommend using the first version as it's just a basic "My X is Y" sentence which should be easy to formulate.

かそく should be かぞく. ヘローキティ should be ハローキティ. (A good trick for finding out the latter is to browse to the English "Hello Kitty" Wikipedia article and switch the language to Japanese. Or read the first sentence in the English article)

Also take another look at the grammar explanation about the ~り、~りする pattern - it's not "masu-stem + したり" as in "かきしたり". It's actually easier than that.

Just noticed another typo, this is what I had originally written down or intended to say;
父は私が好きなかもくでよくはたらく人がいいと言います。
ーsomething like, Father says I work hard at my favorite subjects.

We repeatedly pointed out that this is wrong, even if the particle を is written correctly. Read again lanthas-san's post more carefully. He clearly explained why this sentence is grammatically wrong.

Then, your translation is wrong. It means that your father says you like a person who works hard, thus, よくはたらく人 doesn't refer to you.

Check again all three ~たり~たり expressions in your composition. Only the first one is correct even in the latest version.

The comma is not needed before する.

The point is not on the -tai form. You can do or want to do something, but your goal can't. Your sentence still means "my goal makes good memories", not "my goal is to make good memories" (and still contains a typo).

Yes for the other one.

Not quite sure how it should change. 父は私が好きなかもくでよくはたらく人と言います。
I edited my previous post while you were writing your reply.

It should be 人と言います, but you got the correct construction. The problem was on いい.
好きなかもくでよくはたらく doesn't make much sense. I would use 好きな事に一生懸命になる or 一生懸命好きなことをする.
Also, 言います is understandable, but 言っています is better.

The basic function of the -te form is to connect clauses in the temporal order, thus, your sentences mean "James likes to play games first, and then do programming" and "your mother likes to collect Snoopy items first, and then play tennis." You need to use the second ones, but it's still not correct. See the difference between those ones and the first explanation about yourself.

You missed a particle.

上のあにの名前はジェームズでゲームして、プログラミングしてするのが好きです。

母はスヌーピーをあつめて、テニスしてするのが好きです。
You don't understand my explanation. Those sentences can't mean what you want to say. In the first place, those are still ungrammatical.

And finally, you don't need to paste your imperfect composition in every your post. You should post just the final version.

You missed a particle.

父は私が好きなことに一生けんめいになる人だと言っています。

You don't understand my explanation. Those sentences can't mean what you want to say. In the first place, those are still ungrammatical.

Other second one right? Changed, but I don't see the difference or grammatical error of 2&3 compaired to 1.
1. 私はかいたり、ダンスしたり、りょうりしたり、テニスしたりするのが好きです。

2. 上のあにの名前はジェームズでゲームしたり、プログラミングしたりするのが好きです。

3. 母はスヌーピーをあつめたり、テニスしたりするのが好きです。

Third ones, as you wrote, and as I quoted.

I don't understand the grammatical error in these even when compaired to; 私はかいたり、ダンスしたり、りょうりしたり、テニスしたりするのが好きです.

上のあにの名前はジェームズでゲームして、プログラミングしてするのが好きです。

母はスヌーピーをあつめて、テニスしてするのが好きです。

Do you know what "temporal order" means?

~たり…たりする and ~て… are different both in meaning and construction. Check again about the latter expression in your textbook.

So like chronological order?

~たり…たりする and ~て… are different both in meaning and construction. Check again about the latter expression in your textbook.

From what I understand basically:

~たり, たりします ー> a and b and etc.
~て ー> a and b and nothing else

So from this I think ~たり would be the more suitable option. But I still don't understand the grammatical error in the tari ones, forget about the te-form ones.

母はスヌーピーをあつめたり、テニスしたりするのが好きです。

From what I understand basically:

~たり, たりします ー> a and b and etc.
~て ー> a and b and nothing else
That's not the point. I already explained about the difference in meaning. You just didn't read it.

The basic function of the -te form is to connect clauses in the temporal order, thus, your sentences mean "James likes to play games first, and then do programming" and "your mother likes to collect Snoopy items first, and then play tennis."
Host Family letter | Japan Forum

James doesn't do programming always after playing games, or your mother doesn't play tennis always after collecting Snoopy items, right? That's what third sentences mean.

But I still don't understand the grammatical error in the tari ones, forget about the te-form ones.
I didn't say the second ones contain errors, at least in the latest ones (you already corrected the mistakes プログラミングする好きです and テニスする好きです). I'm talking about the third ones. Read more carefully my replies.

So like chronological order?

Yes.

From what I understand basically:

~たり, たりします ー> a and b and etc.
~て ー> a and b and nothing else

~て a THEN b

Often in English you will end up translating "a AND b", but you have to be conscious of the fact that in Japanese the meaning is "a AND b, both, together, and in that order"

You can't just simply treat ~て as equaling "and" in English.

Okay my misunderstanding, so use tari one and there is not mistake in it to fix.
上のあにの名前はジェームズでゲームしたり、プログラミングしたりするのが好きです。
母はスヌーピーをあつめたり、テニスしたりするのが好きです。

And for future reference:
~たり, たりします ー> a and b and etc.
~て ー> a and b and nothing else (In temporal order)

Thank you for your help, I have learned a lot, so all should be good now?

上のあにの名前はジェームズでゲームしたり、プログラミングしたりするのが好きです。
It's more understandable to put a comma after ジェームズで, since it sounds like a single clause and で indicates means (i.e., your brother plays games with using James) without a comma.

And for future reference:
~たり, たりします ー> a and b and etc.
~て ー> a and b and nothing else (In temporal order)
~たり…たりする can be used also for exhaustive lists, thus, it's not always "and etc". Similarly, ~て… can be for incomplete lists, thus, it's not always "and nothing else", as well.

Are you going to give up correcting the mistakes in 上のあにの名前はジェームズでゲームして、プログラミングしてするのが好きです。 and 母はスヌーピーをあつめて、テニスしてするのが好きです。, by the way?

As for your latest composition;
You still like hiding something.
It's better to put と between 母と父 and あにが.
私の友だちは is understandable, but 私は、友だちは is better.
I already pointed out that just こうかん is not appropriate. You overlooked the other one.
