From what i understand with Universities in Japan, during the Entrance Ceremony there are 3 Speeches
  • The principal/head master/president of the school makes some opening remarks, encouraging the new crop of students to have an enjoyable and rewarding experience in school.
  • One of the older students makes a welcoming address.
  • A speech by an incoming student on behalf of his or her class follows.
Now i have found President Speeches from Kyoto University (2011 Speech at the Kyoto University Entrance Ceremony for Undergraduate Students (April 7, 2011)

Kyoto University
) Tokyo University (平成27年度秋季入学式総長式辞 | 東京大学) and Hiroshima (Hiroshima University  - The 2013 Hiroshima University Entrance Ceremony Speech) but i am unable to find the other 2 kinds of speeches on those websites.

So i am wondering if anyone here knows where i can find english translated versions of these speeches. ideally i would like all 3 to be from the same ceremony or even from the same university

I can't imagine why such things would even exist. They are written by Japanese and for Japanese. You may have to pay for a translation if you need them that badly.

A few rare unis here like Miyazaki International College teach in English, so you might get lucky and find theirs already all in English.

that's what i thought about the president's speeches but as you can see from the links i have posted i can find one of the 3 in english.

still if i can't find them already in english i'll go through the effort of finding someone to translate them but because i can't read japanese yet i wouldn't know if a page is one of the remain 2 speeches i am looking for

also in regards to the link you posted i can't even find any information on at least the entrance ceremony which would be a start

I can't be the only one curious about why you would need them. Do you mind sharing that with us?

it's more just curiosity after watching K-On and Death Note. in Australia the only speech i've ever been to was in university and it was brief. seeing the president's speeches which i posted seems to be more lengthy and learning that 2 students, at almost opponent ends of their experience at university, give speeches themselves i'm curious what they would say.

also i get the feeling that what i see/read in K-On and Death Note or any other Anime/Manga might be massively cut down for the sake of entertainment

Realism is in short supply in escapist fantasy as a general rule, yes. I would expect the typical real speech to be only slightly less dry than a pterodactyl turd.

The link was not to provide you with any copies of speeches. It was to give you contact information.
