Bottled water from specific Japanese prefectures?

Hello to everyone! ^_^

I'm currently gathering materials for an art project that requires me to use Japanese products and materials.

I live in the UK and it's quite difficult to find the information I'm looking for. I've searched for Japanese bottled water and found varying results. I'm not 100% clear where the water is sourced in some cases. Any water from Japan would suit the project brief, but I thought I'd take it one step further and find water from specific prefectures if possible. This is where I've hit a dead end in my research.
I'd like to find water that has been sourced from Aichi, Kanagawa and Hiroshima prefectures. Does anyone know if you can buy bottle water that has been sourced from these locations and which brand names do this?

It's a stretch and not entirely essential, but it would make for a very cool story to tell if I can manage to pull this off. The items I'm crafting will be gifts for people who were born in these prefectures. So it will be a nice touch for them to know that they were created with a little essence of home.

Thank you,
Kind regards,
Mark ^_^

What you are looking for does exist. The question is just how difficult it would be to get to it.

Bottled water from all (?) prefectures: おいしい水道水ボトルウォーター:「安全でおいしい水道水供給の推進」WEBサイト−社団法人日本水道協会

They are primarily used for PR purposes by the local waterworks bureaus. Most are also being sold in local shops. The one in Aichi ("Aichi no mizu") isn't though, according to that site. You would have to find someone in that prefecture to buy/get it and send it to you.

I'm quite sure that, in the millions of years that water has moved on this planet, the water out of your tap in the UK has drops in it that have been in those prefectures at least one. Maybe that could count :)

The recipients might appreciate sake more than water. Though I guess if they're kids then that wouldn't be appropriate.

Thank you for the comments and suggestions!

Still struggling to find what I'm looking for but thanks to the first reply, I have a little something to go on.

I've thought about potentially writing a letter to the Town Hall of the capital city in each of the three prefectures to ask for help or advice on who I should contact. Or a letter to the water companies. Do you think this might help? Or is it a stretch?

Sorry for the late reply,
Kind regards,
Mark ^_^

I am not trying be offend you, but it sounds like a lot of work for them "just" for a personal art-project.
Maybe you can ask people on this forum living in those prefectures to fill a small bottle of tap water, and reimburse them for the shipment cost. I think that would get you a result much faster.

Good luck!

Internet is really amazing - I never expected that there's any list of Japanese mineral water by source!

Great idea, I've sent a message to someone who I think might be able to help me. I'll see how that turns out and then post the results on here. I might have to come back and do exactly as you mentioned! It's just great to know they do exist. That's half the battle won.

I understand it's not essential to go to these lengths. The mask will still look the same at the end of the day. But it's just nice to know that on the "inside" of it, its very heart and soul were constructed with Japanese materials and resources. That's worth going the extra mile for I think. It just makes them much more special and unique, don't you think? ^_^

Thanks!
