So I was in Japan a couple months ago and I had such a blast. One of the highlights was
hunting down Geisha in Kyoto . When we finally found them it was surreal to me. They float like ghosts
in the night. I wanted to share my experience if that's ok.
Skip to 8 minutes if to get to the Geisha part:

I have about 10 other Japan related videos if you're interested. Anyone have there own Geisha
experiences? Pics and videos, please share!

Your admiration for Japan comes through quite vividly in your videos. I watched the one above, and the one on Shibuya/Harajuku, and the ramen one. I was ready to rip into them and point out all the things that were wrong, but how can you hate on someone who is obviously having such a great time enjoying his trip to Japan. Ahh to be young and discovering this for the first time... makes me nostalgic.

Is it wrong that the first thing that came to mind when I read the title was some bllonde haired gaijin with a samurai sword chasing down a poor young lady through kyoto?

Oh man, now I'm embarrassed. Hopefully I didn't make any mistakes that were too offending. I know my accent of Japanese words is horrible so I try to just post the name as a title as much as I can.
Thanks for viewing and the kind words. I had a really great time in Japan and the people were honestly the nicest I've ever met.

Haha, that's hilarious! I promise you I didn't hassle any of the Geisha and stayed my distance. It was like a weird sort of scavenger hunt looking for them though. Really fun and memorable for me.

Never be embarrassed of a mistake made out of heartfelt earnestness.

You have plenty of time to get old and jaded, don't rush it... ;)

I'm happy to hear that you didn't hassle any of the Geisha. there are rules to follow. they are simple and easy. When you see them mostly at night, you 1) leave them along and 2) do not take picture of them.

Just to let you know in the future, your not really allow to take pictures or film Geishas, If you do, you can only show their back from what i was told, but again. your not allow to take any pictures or film them.
