Food Hosomaki (星鰈)

Hosomaki (細巻き) are a traditional type of thin sushi roll with nori seaweed on the outside. The tekka, negi hamachi, kappa, and kanpyo maki are all popular forms of hosomaki.
Hosomaki sushi are slender rolls of rice and seaweed sliced into neat morsels. Each roll contains a single filling of either vegetable or fish, creating a striking contrast of colours in the middle. They make a delightful appetiser or a light meal, whether in a bento box or on a plate.
