Dear native English speakers, would you check my sentences and give me some comments?
1 He has a high educational background.
2 More than 1,000 people aged 15 to 65 took part.
3 The survey was conducted in more than 20 countries.
4 Garbage is collected twice a week in this area.
5 I learned the basics of physics from my uncle.
6 We should be treated equally regardless of race or religion.
7 Japan was above average in reading and math.
8 The exam is conducted online in more than 20 countries.
9 The participants selected three numbers at random.
10 You have to submit all the documents before/by Thursday.
11 Give me your answer directy tomorrow.
12 His explanation was really confusing.
13 Tom ordered his habitual pasta at the restaurant yesterday.
14 Stress has an effect on both your physical and mental health.
15 We should not use chemicals that are harmful to the environment.
16 You should not be indifferent to politics.

Looks pretty much perfect to me. Instead of "habitual pasta" I'd probably say "usual pasta."
"before" or "by" are both ok.

Agree with mdchachi above. The all sound fine.
A side comment about 14 and 16. US schools used to teach kids to avoid using "you" in rhetorical statements, and instead use the neutral "one".
14. Stress has an effect both on one's physical and mental health.
16. One should not be indifferent to politics.
But this rule has pretty much died off nowadays, and you can use the direct you with confidence. I think British English may still favor the use of one. I still try to use it when appropriate, but it makes some sentences sound very awkward.
