Hi I'm having a tattoo done and I would love to use the kanji wording and numbers for : Sarah and my wedding date is 16/09/2016 can anyone translate this it to kanji please many thanks

Congratulations on your marriage :)

The post above combines a possible kanji transliteration for "Sarah" (沙 = "sa", 羅 = "ra") with the date expressed using the Japanese era system (Heisei 28). It should be pointed out that names of foreigners are usually not written with kanji in Japanese, but with katakana.

Hence another possibility is:
サラとの結婚 (marriage (結婚) with Sarah (サラ))
2016年09月16日 (2016 year 09 month 16 day)

Hence another possibility is:
サラとの結婚

IANANS but that wording makes it sound to me like you're specifying that particular marriage in contrast to marriages to other women.

I didn't know that. How would you say it more neutrally? (Apart from rephrasing it such as サラと結婚した日)
