The proper name of tiny shrine-like structures

See that little structure next to the tree? I see them in places like this and on boulders and other places sometimes. I cannot for the life of me figure out what they're called, my Japanese friends don't know either, and I get home too late every night to stop at the local shrine and ask there. Does anyone know? Hokora? Something else?

Whether it's for Shinto or Buddhism, those kinds of small shrines are called hokora. 屋敷神 is the god/goddess enshrined there in some cases.
