Tattoo translation

If someone could translate this for me i would really appreciate it, my friend has had it as a tattoo since she was a teenager and we ate trying to find out what it actually says (oh uh lol) We dont even know if it is Japanese, Chinese or just plain jumble of letter haha please help! Thanks :) x

My guess is that it's 佳 which means beautiful; good; excellent.

Hi :) I am Asuka(Japanese), a newbie here.
I think that the kanji of tatoo is both of Japanese and Chinese.

The meaning is "beautiful, magnificent". So it means totally good things.
We, Japanese, sometimes use the kanji for name (boys&girls) because of the meaning.
