"Where there is light, there must be shadow"
"Where there is shadow, there must be light"
is there a popular, japanese saying for it?
I asked in a german forum the same question and got
"好事魔多し"
"魔事好多し"

here's also a example how my tattoo should look like :)

好事魔多し means more likely "When good/lucky things continue to happen, bad things often follow it.", so the nuance is different. 魔事好多し doesn't exist and doesn't make much sense, from the first.

There's a great English saying that expresses what you want to say:

Every cloud has a silver lining.

You could add the grateful dead song lyric:

Every silver lining's got a touch of gray.

This way you actually know what is written on your skin and can control to some extent any inaccuracies or poor skills of the tattoo artist.

Or you could have random Internet strangers decide what will be written on your skin in indelible ink that you neither understand nor can explain properly.

Up to you.

The text in your image is an accurate translation of those two English expressions. Why is the text in your post completely different from what's in the image?

Ah, yeah ^^
That's a another text that i got from the german forum, i forgot to mention it :D
So the text in the image, is it really accurate?
