The text:
店のガラス窓に映る、外の真っ白な光景に視線を落とす彼女の顔を窺った。そこに映った彼女の顔はあまりに美しくて現実のものとは思えなかった。
My problem lies in the second line. (First line provided for context)

What i understood:
I dropped my gaze from the spectacle of whiteness, and examined the reflection of the girl's face from the shop's glass window. Reflected there, the girl's face was excessively beautiful, something I would never have considered real.

My question:
Am I getting the nuance right? Is this what the writer is trying to convey?

外の真っ白な光景に視線を落とす modifies 彼女. It's not the writer's/narrator's action.

Aaah, stupid mistake.

In the reflection on the glass window, I examined the girl staring at the white scenery outside.

Yes, that's right. 視線を落とす suggests that they are on the second or upper floor, not on the first/ground floor.
