Can someone please help me with the meaning of a description in the following sentence?

The characters are at the 早池峰神社 in 岩手県。

本殿と拝殿のあいだのくぐり拝殿に、板をわたしてした てた舞台では、神楽の鶏舞の山の神舞などが舞われてい た。

What is the meaning of 板をわたしてしたてた？

My interpretation is ....

At the side gate between the main shrine and the hall of worship, on (some sort of stage) ancient, chicken and mountain deity dances were being performed.
