Hi All,
I am reading a news story from NHK news easy. The first paragraph is as follows.
ことし3月、ベネッセ教育総合研究所は中学生と高校生6294人に、将来、英語をどれくらい使うかについて聞きました.
I have two questions.
Q1 is there a specific reason why one uses どれぐらい or どのぐらい。
Q2 is the subject of the question that the students are being asked, the students themselves or the future use of English in general in Japan.

よろしくお願いします

1. I think they're interchangable, really.
2. 将来 is often used for close/personal future, so I would take it as "After you leave school/in your future career..." or similar.

Thanks nekojitasan.
I was just asking because i've only used どの myself. どれ seems like which of you.

By themselves, どの and どれ is like the difference between この and これ

どのケーキがいいですか?
どれがいいですか?

But どのくらい・どれくらい seem to be pretty much interchangeable. In others, they're not (e.g. you can say どのように but I don't think どれように)
