Career Development Program on "Food Safety", KAGAWA UNIVERSITY 2015

Applications for the Career Development Program on "Food Safety" are now open. This is a two-year masters program taught in Japanese that includes language and business components.

All graduates from this program have found employment with Japanese companies in an area of interest to them. There have been some exciting developments in this program:
+There are five (5) Japanese Government (MONBUKAGAKUSHO: MEXT) Scholarships for the program.
+ We have increased the number of students that we plan to accept to eight (8). As in previous years, will accept fewer students if they do not meet our admission requirements. Up to five (5) of these students may receive the Japanese Government Scholarships and up to three (3) may receive other scholarships (living costs).

The Government Scholarships include:
1) A full tuition wavier (including registration fees and admission fees)
2) A living stipend of ¥144,000 per month
3) point-to-point airfare

Candidates must have graduated from a 4 year accredited university program and have a strong scientific background.

It is important to note that a demonstrated success in learning the Japanese language will be very important for being accepted. Applicants should have taken the Japanese language proficiency test (What is the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test? Index | JLPT Japanese-Language Proficiency Test).

Furthermore, demonstrated English language ability is also an asset. I recommend that all applicants (non-native speakers of English ) take the TOEIC test.

Graduates of this program are expected to seek employment with Japanese companies in the consortium after graduation. Please see the website for more details.
